2008 Assistive Technology Expo - Empowerment in Progress:
AT in Action

Where: North Raleigh Hilton | 3415 Wake Forest Road | Raleigh, NC
When: December 4 – 5, 2008

Each year the annual Assistive Technology Expo addresses interests of people with disabilities, family members of persons with disabilities, educators, health care and rehabilitation professionals and others providing services to persons with disabilities.  This conference is held each Fall and offers the following events:

• The Opening Session includes the keynote address, an overview of the conference and the presentation of the Stephen E. Sallee Award of Excellence.
  

• Concurrent sessions on assistive technology topics are offered the afternoon of Day 1 and all of Day 2. 
  

• An Exhibit Hall is held from 9:00am – 4:00pm on the first day of the Expo and includes assistive technology vendor exhibits, disability program resource tables, and information tables with printed materials on assistive technology products.
  

• Auctions, with proceeds going to fund the Expo Scholarship Fund are held on both days of the conference.
